MultiRELOAD proudly participated at the AWARD Final Conference organised on 13 June in Brussels. This significant event brought together professionals, researchers, and policymakers in the automation and logistics sector, and we were honoured to be part of it.

During the session titled "Road Automation Integration in Logistics Nodes and Multimodal Operations", Tammo Märtens, a dedicated researcher at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, represented the MultiRELOAD project. His presentation delved into MultiRELOAD's efforts to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of multimodal freight transport through digital and automated solutions in European inland ports.

Tammo provided valuable insights into the development of automation in inland terminals, with a particular focus on the potential of crane automation and remote control in the short to medium term. His intervention was crucial for understanding the future landscape of logistics automation, highlighting how these innovations could transform operations in the logistics sector.

In addition to this session, MultiRELOAD had a stand in the exhibition area. This provided an excellent opportunity for project partners to network with other conference participants and to promote the project's objectives and achievements. The exhibition stand facilitated engaging discussion, allowing attendees to gain a deeper understanding of MultiRELOAD's impact and future goals in the realm of logistics and automation.

Overall, the AWARD Final Conference was a platform for showcasing the advancements and high potential of the MultiRELOAD project. We look forward to continuing our work in revolutionising freight transport and contributing to a more efficient and sustainable logistics ecosystem in Europe.
